Thanks, Judy, for the suggestion, I agree, a lot needed to be cropped out, but I thought I should keep a couple of the apples. I guess this Japanese crab apple tree seemed to get a little confused about the strange weather we've been having and last November after the blossoms were long gone and the crab apples began to fall, we had an unusually warm few weeks and this blossom showed up. It was the only one on the tree. The original is in the following photo.
